Dr Lahn Straney is a Research Fellow at the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence 'Australian Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (Aus-ROC)' at the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Monash University. Dr Straney has a developing profile in the fields of health services research and biostatistics. In addition to his current role at Monash, he acts as an expert advisor to the National Health Performance Authority. In this capacity, he provides advice on approaches to hospital-level risk-adjustment of infections. Dr Straney’s work in evaluating patient outcomes in ICU is well-known nationally, and he maintains a continuing research relationship with the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society.
