Biography
Dr Charles Gomersall is Associate Professor of the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He received his undergraduate training at the Westminster Medical School, University of London. His postgraduate training has taken place in internal medicine at St. George's Hospital, London; in anesthesia at St. Mary's Hospital in London, and in intensive care at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong.

Biography
Steve is an intensivist and infectious diseases physician at the Alfred Hospital. He is Deputy Director of the ICU and heads the education and training program for the unit. Prior to the Alfred Steve worked the United Kingdom, Queensland and the Northern Territory including with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Cape York.
He has a major focus on improving the management of sepsis and is involved in a number of major international research programs in this area. He was the lead author for the latest edition of Australian Therapeutic Guidelines chapter on Sepsis. He is also interested in how human factors affect performance and sustainability in intensive care, including managing staff stress, optimising teamwork and improving communication with families and patients.
When not at work Steve and his amazing wife and three great kids (and the dog) like to get out of the city, ideally in their semi-reliable Kombi.

Biography
Tony Spicer is a registered nurse with a background in intensive care nursing. He currently works in the Disaster Preparedness and Management Unit at the Department of Health (WA) as a Senior Policy Officer. He has responsibility for writing state-level emergency management plans and policies, and as a subject matter expert for business continuity. He recently assisted in the drafting of the new State-level (WA) Infectious Disease Emergency Management Plan (IDEMP) and authored the new WA State Health Emergency Response Plan (SHERP) and WA Health Emergency Management Policy. He has a Master of Public Health majoring in Biosecurity and Disaster Preparedness, a Graduate Diploma in Emergency Management, and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing (ICU). Tony was awarded the 2013 Bali Fellowship to undertake research into hospital evacuations.

Biography
Rob is a dedicated Health Emergency Management Specialist with over 15 years’ experience and is currently working at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth.
A qualified ICU nurse, Rob has developed expertise in Crisis Resource Management, Health Systems Disaster Coordination and Hospital Emergency Procedures and Disaster Management. Rob’s current appointment at Fiona Stanley is focused on the clinical and hospital-wide management of major incidents such as internal emergencies and external disasters.
Rob holds a Bachelor Degree in Nursing (Curtin), Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (Critical Care – ICU) (Edith Cowan) and a Master of Management Information Systems (Edith Cowan). Rob maintains a special interest in state-wide health emergency management and training, and is an active member of the on-call clinical team for the Disaster Preparedness & Management Unit and State Health Incident Coordination Centre.

Biography
Dr Steve Webb is a Senior Staff Specialist in Intensive Care Medicine at Royal Perth Hospital and a Professor of Critical Care Research in School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University. He also holds adjunct Professorial appointments at the University of Western Australia and The George Institute for Global Health.
