Speakers: Dr Luke Torre, Dr Tim Patterson and Dr Sacha Schweikert The 2016 ANZCOR guidelines on Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) recommend TTM as opposed to no TTM after Cardiac Arrest who remain unresponsive after ROSC regardless of rhythm and arrest location. They recommend “selecting and maintaining a constant target temperature between 32C and 36C” for a duration of at least 24 hours and prevention of fever post this period. Uncontrolled fever is also well established as a negative factor following neurological injury. Recent evidence from ANZ suggests there is scope for improvement in the implementation of TTM. This session will review the recommendations, outline current practice and provide practical solutions to improving implementation from experts in the field.
