Biography
Dr Fenella Gill is a Nurse Researcher and Research Fellow at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and Curtin University. Fenella’s fellowship is specifically focused on knowledge translation in the context of involving parents in the early recognition and response to the deteriorating child. Her PhD work involved the development of practice standards for graduates of critical care nurse education programs.
Fenella’s work for the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses include the Practice Standards for Specialist Critical Care Nurses, Position Statement for postgraduate critical care education, Position statement on partnering with families in critical care and she is the Chair of the Paediatric Advisory Panel. Fenella was the scientific nursing convenor for the 8th World Congress on Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care in Toronto 2016 and is co-nurse convenor for the paediatric program for the Intensive Care ASM in Perth 2016.
