Biography
Associate Professor Diane Chamberlain is the ACCCN National President, Honorary Life member and Fellow of the ACCCN, and Associate Professor, Critical Care Studies at Flinders University. Her research and publications focus on sepsis and the role of the nurse in the recognition and resuscitation of sepsis. She has over 35 publications. Other research interests include the professional role of critical care nurses, including the ACCCN and how its professional profile can lead and support nurses. Diane led the systematic review component of the ACCCN Workforce Standards launched at this ASM. She is also Co-Chair of the Academic Board of the Australian Chiropractic College. In the past she has been a critical care nurse for over 35 years with extensive senior clinical experience and currently coordinates and designs the curriculum and supervises student research for the Critical Care Nursing specialty at Flinders University.
