The course is targeted at Senior Registrars, ICU Fellows, and Junior Consultant Intensivists in their first 3 years of practice. Applications are welcome from fellows of ANY experience. The workshop content includes: • Paediatric Crises for the Locum Intensivist • Dealing with challenges to emotions, team function and technical expertise. • Conflicts, Complaints and Complications • Facilitated discussion and Role plays to address a range of conflicts with colleagues of all types. • How to Develop a Non-Clinical Portfolio • before and after fellowship “embedding yourself in the fabric of a hospital”. • My Top 3 Mistakes in the First Few Years Panel Discussion. • Interacting with the Trade: How to get the most out of trade at conferences and in the workplace. This will be a workshop format covering a wide range of challenges that can test a new and emerging Intensivist.
