Biography
Judy is the Director of Postgraduate Studies in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Deakin University. Judy’s research is focused on decisions that impact patient safety and quality of care, specifically clinical deterioration of patients in acute care. Judy also researches educational strategies to develop a workforce skilled in clinical risk management. Judy has been awarded a national ALTC Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, and four teaching and innovation awards including Deakin University Teacher of the Year. Internationally, Judy leads research and scholarship in teaching and learning related to Team-Based Learning, and is a qualified Team-Based Learning Trainer-Consultant.
